Barrow (pronounced BEAR-OH) is a city in and the borough seat of the North Slope Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. Barrow is the northernmost settlement on the North American mainland and in the United States. Nearby Point Barrow is the northernmost point of the United States. The population was 4,683 at the 2000 census, with an estimated population of 3,982 in 2007.
