Kenton uses Rentometer in 2 main ways:

1) to determine the current market rent if he is renting his new or renewal amounts.

2) determine rates when buying a new property.

When buying, Kenton really needs to know what he can expect for rent rates today. Current rents can affect the property value and his return if he pursues the property.

To do so you simply enter the address, bedrooms, and bathrooms and the free versions give you the average, median, 25%, 75% in a specific radius around your property. You also can use an interactive map for properties around that address.

A feature Kenton just recently discovered and started using is the ability to list your rental for free on Rentometer’s website. He is always open to other ways of marketing his website for free. He will be using Rentometer as the main listing platform.
